Allen Lee Thomas was born on December 31, 1957, in Olney, Illinois, and grew up in Pawnee, where he developed resilience, humor, and determination.

After years of work and family life, he retired and began writing. His first book, The Lonely Library Book, was written for his granddaughter and celebrates the power of stories. He later published Crap to Consider While Traveling Through the Universe, a reflective and humorous collection about life, love, and existence. He has additional books planned, including Buddy the Odd Ball, with a fourth in progress. Now living in Jacksonville, Illinois, Thomas continues to write with sincerity and humor, aiming to offer readers comfort and connection through his work, inspired by the idea that life is unpredictable and worth exploring.
